The Best Wallet for Lots of Cards

For those who can’t leave home without them.

When it comes to credit cards you can find one for practically any store and from several different credit card companies. American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Diners Club are the big boys, so to speak, but every major department store (and even some of the minor ones) has their own credit card.

From Macy’s to Kohl’s, JC Penney, and the rest, you could fill a wallet to the brim with credit cards if you wanted to. (And, yeah, some folks actually do that.)

Then there are also business cards which, even though they aren’t as popular as they used to be, are still a ubiquitous tool of business. If you have your own business cards or like to keep several from other people, you’ll need even more space in your wallet.

In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the best wallets for men and women who have lots of credit cards and don’t leave home without all of them. Enjoy!

Why Carry Around So Many Credit Cards?

Full disclosure, I carry around very few credit cards compared to the average guy. In my wallet right now are two debit cards and one credit card. That’s it. Nothing else and it’s been like that for about 10 years now.

The reason? I used to have an awful lot of credit card debt because, well, I liked to buy stuff. Once I paid off all my debt, which took about seven years, I decided that the best way to not go back into credit card debt was to limit the number of credit cards that I used.

By the way, that wasn’t exactly my idea. I read all sorts of articles about how to lower credit card debt and keeping very few cards was one of them. By the way, it’s worked pretty darn good. Right now I have a few hundred dollars in CC debt and that’s going to be paid off at the end of the month.

All that being said, I’m certainly not trying to judge anyone who wants to carry around a couple dozen credit cards (or more). There are plenty of people who can control themselves better than I could and, for them, having a metric ton of credit cards is no big deal.

Plus, it’s a great way to save money at a lot of stores and on a lot of stuff. That’s one good reason to carry so many cards because, if you have the will power and financial ability to pay them off every month, they can help you save money.

What Materials are Used to Make Wallets For Lots of Cards?

There are plenty of wallets that hold a lot of credit cards, that’s for sure. I’ve seen wallets that can hold 50 of them and more, and that’s a lot of cards! As with any wallet, you’ll want to pick one that fits your style and lifestyle. There are a lot of different material options, for example, including;

  • Leather. The classic wallet material, this is what most ‘big’ wallets are made from
  • Polyurethane (PU) leather.Artificial or ‘faux’ leather with a polyurethane coating on one side. Waterproof
  • Canvas- Durable and flexible
  • Tyvek- Super durable and flexible
  • Kevlar- The stuff they use to make bullet-proof vests. So, yeah, super-durable

Are Wallets that Hold Lots of Cards Big?

Uh, yeah. The more cards they can hold, the bigger they’re going to be. Also, they can get pretty thick. For example, the typical wallet is about 2 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches long, Compare that to the Easyoulife Zipper Leather Wallet which is 7 1/2 inches by 4 inches (approximately), or more than double the length of a typical wallet. Let’s just say you won’t be sliding one of these bad boys into your shirt pocket.

With room for 16 cards and RFID blocking tech, this is an excellent choice for anyone looking to protect their many CCs when out and about. Made from genuine cowhide leather the Easyoulife wallet is a big one. The description calls it a ‘woman’s’ wallet but these days who really cares, am I right?

This beast can hold a whopping 60 cards, has 2 ID slots and, get this, it’s RFID blocking too! Sweet! It has a zipper closure so that’s a bit of a problem if you’re looking for quick access but, besides that, this wallet will hold all the CCs you can throw at it!

Another genuine napa full-grain leather option, this wallet holds 18 cards and has 2 currency windows and 2 ID windows also. Plus, it’s got military-grade RFID blocking tech built-into 8 credit card slots! With a tinfoil layer built into the layers of this wallet, it gives you instant RFID blocking capabilities. It also holds 18 cards, cash on both sides and can even hold coins! It’s zippered so keep that in mind but the manufacturer says it’s a ‘smooth functioning’ zipper that opens quickly. (Their words, not mine.)

In Closing

For anyone who carries tons of credit cards you now have a great idea of what’s out there to hold them all when you’re out traveling around. What I like about the five that I’ve listed here is that they’re all RFID blocking wallets, which by now you should know are my jam. Best of luck finding the one you like best!
